About me

I’ve worked in dual diagnosis (mental health and addiction) treatment facilities since 2011. I have been fortunate to train and work with international leaders in neuroscience and trauma. My approach is a combination of bottoms-up awareness (somatic therapy) with top down (talk) therapy.

I utilize a combination of evidence-based therapies, with a primary focus on EMDR. This powerful therapeutic approach helps clients process traumatic memories and negative beliefs that contribute to their emotional distress. By facilitating bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements or taps, EMDR allows clients to reprocess traumatic experiences in a safe and controlled manner, leading to profound healing and resolution.

In addition to EMDR, I integrate various therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's unique needs and preferences. These may include Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness-based techniques, and somatic experiencing. Through collaborative goal-setting and ongoing feedback, I empower clients to actively participate in their healing journey and achieve meaningful and lasting change.

Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying lives. - Bessel van der Kolk
